I posted a review a few months back stating my concerns for VT Pro. It takes a fiscal year to scan for updates. I used to love this software, but it's easier, quicker and cheaper to go to the website and manually check for updates; which the first two were all the things that made this program useful.
I recently bought a new Mac Pro with eight 2.8 GHz, 64-bit cores, and 10 gigs of RAM. When running VT Pro, it slams one processor and still takes an eternity to look for updates. It is disheartening to see the other seven processors at idle, one at 100%, and the program stalled. I'm not a programmer, but I know that this program is not multi-processor aware. I also know that I've been waiting almost half of my current subscription for an update that addresses all my concerns about this once-great software.
Don't give me the line, "That's what happens when you update operating systems" because Versiontracker is all about updating. If it can't keep up with the updates, they need to stop the subscription idea. UNLESS I GET A REFUND, I WILL NOT RENEW MY SUBSCRIPTION. This is a very poor product now and I advise anyone to not subscribe to it. This product has been broken since Leopard's release in October.
