the developement of OmniWeb, better said the EVOLUTION stopped years ago.
By then, all efforts seems to be focused to try to let the distance between it and other browsers grow not too much but nevertheless the crashes grew and grew (about 4 each day).
In the panic, any new 'vision' was frozen and no one of my many interface enhancement suggestions was taken in accont, no one of the opportunities to hold the huge user interface advantages or even only refine some minor easy to implement enhancements.
Try to go with OW on THIS site to a 'previous day': IMPOSSIBLE!!
Troy told me months ago that it's impossible because of a mistake of the Version Tracker's site developers that not respected the WebKit standards.. but Safari and not only all other browsers can do it, so I have to change browser at least to browse this site!!!
The result is that slowly I started to prepare me for the announcement that the staff will abandone this at time exciting and promising product, a pity, and I'm trying (forced, as said) other browsers and stopped with the dead in my heart to use it as default browser, even if i hold it ever open in background between other ones to compare it.
But alone the fact that after months I reported this bug od 'previous days broken link' on Version Tracker (that nobody noticed before me!!!!!!!!!!!) is still here.. is really demoralizing!
OmniWeb
Full-featured native web browser.
Version: 5.10.1
yes, a wonderful team for a... forgot product - NeoX360
Umm if you are referring to the Previous Days Updates link at the bottom of VT then you must know that you cannot get to the previous days updates unless you create an account and Login. Once you do that, the link works perfectly. try logging in with OW and try it again. I have never had this problem.OmniWeb is a fantastic browser, and I have found it to be far more stable then Safari 3, which crashes at least once per week.
