I have a MacPro - MacOS 10.4.11 - MS Office 12.0.0.
When I run this installer and it gets to the "Select a Destination" window, the OS volume has an exclamation mark and informs me that I can't install on the volume because "a version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume"
Microsoft Office 2008
Entourage, PowerPoint, Excel, Word suite.
Version: 12.2.3

Can't install this update - alafrenais
I also can't install the update - I get the same message. I'm on OS X 10.5.2 and have Office 2008 installed.I'm having so many problems with Office 2008...it's so frustrating. I can't get the drawing toolbar to work. Everytime I try to open it, the software freezes. I've tried (per another site) to delete all my Office preferences to rid it of any previous office preferences. That still didn't work.
If anyone finds a solution to either problem, I'd love to hear it.

Same problem here; I got 10.5.2 running from an external FireWire drive, and the updater says it can't do it.Reply to This
