If you don't have a .mac account this FileChute thingy isn't very useful. If you do have broadband, though, you may want to use http://www.podmailing.com/. FREE, UNlimited file size transfer that won't clog anyone's mailbox.

Simpler and cheaper alternative - robg3

I completely disagree... this app is incredibly useful for drag and drop transporting of files to people via FTP. It assembles a one-click URL for non-technical users to grab what has been uploaded.
