It would be great to allow any airport enabled Mac to share other's CD/DVD !!!
Anyone knows which piece of Leopard is in charge of that on MBA? a kext or it is hard-coded on the MBA?

Why MacBookAir Only??? - chashulme_dotmac
That's not entirely accurate. What is lacking with the standard ability to share CD's and DVD's remotely in Leopard (et al) is that you can't run installer packages remotely (not just OS X).Saturday, October 18 2008 @ 01:21 PM PDT

You can already do that with OSX 10.5, just go to the Sharing prefs panel, and it's right there at the top of the list, "CD or DVD Sharing".What this download is for is to enable another computer's CD/DVD drive to be used for installing and/or restoring the OS on the MacBook Air, which only the MacBook Air can do. If you don't have a MacBook Air, there's no point in installing this on your other Macs.
