AntiVirus apps in general and especially NAV are notoriously unpopular among Mac power-users, however this latest version of NAV is actually a good product. I have found it to be stable and responsive on two G4 systems. The fact is that there is some Mac malware out there and it is not stupid for a Mac user to be protected. In addition the new vulnerability protection feature allows Symantec to actually patch zero-day type OS vulnerabilities if Apple is slow to release a security update. It's a compelling addition to the app. NAV 11 is much more refined than it's previous versions which took severe beating in these VersionTracker comments. I will say that the price of the app and the yearly subscription ipdates are bit on the high side, especially when compared to its PC counterpart...
