I was hoping I could encrypt a small USB drive. The best TrueCrypt does is create an encrypted file. Apple's Disk Utility works better for this. Also, you need the app for encrypting and decrypting. The documentation says you can create "Travel Mode" files that don't require the app, but it doesn't seem to work on a Mac.

Might be a good solution for cross-platform encryption

Like you, I had a problem encrypting an entire USB drive, but that seems to have been fixed in a recent update. Try again?
