Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

iTunes handles PDF files, and also supports multiple libraries, so you can have a separate libraries for PDFs and for music. Why buy this when iTunes organizes PDFs for free?

iTunes already handles PDFs - sherman1

You've got to be kidding me. Have you actually tried this application to see what kind of capabilities it has?

How do you install PDF files into Itunes? I tried and it failed for me.

Yes, but not really - hkim

Yes, I could drop and add PDF files to iTunes but it does not give one the abilities that Yep gives me (tag words, searching, preview from thumbnails, scanning, etc.). It is an interesting experiment but iTunes is not useful for handling PDF files.

iTunes already handles PDFs - junglerolf2

wow.
did not realize iTunes handles PDFs, thanks for tip!

questions:
1) why would Apple not promote that fact?!
2) i dragged a pdf into iTunes, it add a book icon & when you double-click it, it opens it in Preview app, but that's it?! iTunes does not "handle" much of PDFs as you can NOT preview it within iTunes as in Yep or Finder QuickLook, right?! iTunes is not at vers. 8 & does handle AudioBooks, it's time it does PDFs, right, which is so part of OSX as the only OS that handles PDF natively without need for 3rd party apps, so Apple should wake up to its iLife itself, as it is such a common format...!
3) or do you know of any 3rd party utility that makes iTunes fully compatible with PDF? hey, maybe someone should code this little nifty app?!
