Just a quick note to thank everyone who has tried GetDilbert and left their feedback during the nearly 3 years since its release!
Yes, there have been bumps in the road:
- Started out screen-scraping unitedmedia.com, went to an "unofficial" Dilbert RSS feed, then back to screen-scraping
- Tried auto-refreshing, went to a refresh button, then actually made the refresh button work
- Sunday comic got all squished up, "fixed" the problem, "fixed" it again, "fixed" it again, finally really actually fixed it
Some of you have provided excellent, very valid feedback such as "It takes up too much darn space!"
I'll just say in my "defence" that GetDilbert started out as a little widget for myself because I wanted an easy way to follow Dilbert and friends. It's just a hobby project, really.
iComic, iBert, etc.; they're all great widgets! Use 'em! Personally, I like the simplicity of GetDilbert and, frankly, it works for me, so I'm not likely to change it soon.
Anyway, just thought I'd throw this out there for the thousands of people who have downloaded and continue to use GetDilbert every day. Thank you!
Regards!
