Shakespeare asked (Romeo and Juliet) what's in a name? In this case the name "Eudora" is all that there is that is the program we have used and loved. Reminds me of another famous rip-off of purloining a name (Shakespeare also said, "Who steals my purse steals trash, but who steals my good name...") I do remember when Apple bought out StyleWare so they could have that company's GSWorks and they renamed it AppleWorks-GS, which became the flagship program of Claris. Of course the only thing that that program had in common with the original AppleWorks was the name.
