If you're like me and are searching for a quick and easy way to rip vinyl, keep searching. Golden Records is probably the closest to the ideal that I've seen, but still, it's not perfect. Recording quality is sub par compared to other options (e.g. Sound Studio), and many of its features aren't perfected quite yet. For example, many of the "filters" for better audio quality resulted in even worse sound quality, the ability to rip 33 records by playing them at 45 RPM resulted in many bad tracks, and it can't quite find the right place to insert splits into files. After playing with it for a few weeks I found myself giving it as much effort as I had with less "automatic" options. That, plus a few crashes, makes me not quite ready to give this app my full support.
It's entirely possible that a version 2 will address a lot of these problems, and I look forward to revisiting the software as newer versions emerge.
