Trying to use the updater. Keep getting message "Install Failed."

Plug in directly - ProfKerry
Hey: I found a similar problem one or two years ago with an older Garmin. Discovered, though, if I plugged in the USB cord directly to a port on the computer, rather than a hub or keyboard port or cinema display port, then the software update works as promised.Hope that helps!

Installed Failed - cogden
Ditto - it finds my Colorado 400t, appears to download the software and then fails. Using FileBuddy to find any recently created/modified files shows a cache folder, but not software. Sigh.Reply to This
