I think this has been unfairly criticized here. It isn't a complete re-working of the OSX file system. It's a way to set default applications for basic files. The fact that it can't parse various editions of individual Adobe packages isn't a fault at all. It simply isn't designed to do that and doesn't claim to.
I think we should criticize software if it doesn't perform as advertised, but not because it doesn't have a feature you happen to want.
