I've been reading the MacFixit website with all the small problems users have been having with this update. I followed the instructions on a Mac Mini Intel and a MacBook Pro and both are quicker, in all aspects from starting up to shutting down. An excellent update that should have been there from the beginning. The only problem they didn't fix for me was the IR remote still doesn't work on the Mac Mini and the Mail beep comes and goes. Sounds like a simple problem doesn't it Apple?
