I thought 1.5.3 was compatible with Leopard?

$59 for compatibility with Leopard?

Why not a cheaper upgrade with a downloadable version? I do not need another box.

1.5.3 is not Leopard Compatible? - Prosoft

Hi There,

version 1.5.3 is not compatible with Leopard if you are running it as an application. 2.0 now adds support for Leopard when running as an application. $59 is indeed the upgrade cost for download only (we charge $5 for shipping, if you want a DVD shipped to you as well- $5 for shipping is about as low as it gets for a bootable DVD shipped to you....The $59 upgrade cost is pretty much in line with other similar products and i think our shipping costs are better than most. With that said, I'll mention that yes, we do get people asking for a bigger discount for a download only option, but all that does is make people angry when they want it shipped ("Hey, why are you making it cost so much if I just want it shipped?" is what we'd hear..)... We try to provide great products with great support and fair shipping and pricing. I do appreciate the feedback though--

Cheers--

1.5.3 run as an application is not compatible with Leopard? Well, I am not clear on what you mean. V.1.5.3 is an application.

Your competing with the likes of Alsoft DiskWarrior (the king of Mac OS X utilities). It is true they charge similar for upgrades and I have paid it, however, I don't plan to pay for a whole load of such premium utilities high upgrade costs. So, I now choose to keep DiskWarrior and dump Drive Genius.

I am taking a pass on Drive Genius v.2 & have uninstalled v.1.5.3 (good thing I never ran v.1.5.3 on Leopard.
