I know this isn't the same as what people want, but since Apple TV 2 supports AirTunes, you could use internet radio in iTunes and stream it to the Apple TV I think.

Internet Radio - jafro

Yes, this works. I wanted to be able to surf channels on the Apple TV, but fortunately I have all the other network hardware to do this from my old home media server and I'm listening to [internet radio] really really loud. I need to turn this down.
