Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: YES

Downloaded this update and the graphics update as standalones from the Apple site. Took 14 minutes for 10.5.2 on my DSL line.

Both installed perfectly.

I did notice that my available HDD space *increased* by slightly more than .5GB after the installs were completed and the installers were deleted. The Apple programmers must be clearing out a lot of unneeded code with this update.

While I haven't tried the update myself yet, I've read that one or two restarts are an automatic part of the upgrade. Also, the upgrade takes quite a while to perform. These two observations lead me to suspect that, based on previous experience, the caches are being wiped and regenerated. And that, Felix01, is probably the primary reason that you've seen a space saving...  :-)
