So far, so bad... - kahn1

I downloaded this security update through the software update function, and once done, my MacBook Pro will no longer start. I get the grey screen, and no matter how long I wait......
Any Idea's ?
Thanks APPLE !!

Not sure what to suggest besides the usual permissions repair, DiskWarrior, etc. Or going back to the backup you surely made before installing it. Just sayin'... I cloned my hard drive first, just in case, but so far on my MacBook Pro all seems to be OK (knocks on wood). I used the stand-alone installer though, rather than using Software Update... not sure if that might be a factor.
