Like those posting downthread, we can only hear the left channel when listening to streams at work. Here's one tip I found over at RealPlayer support:

"A workaround until Real fixes this issue is to use the Audio MIDI Setup utility, which can be found under the /Applications/Utilities folder. Set the output to 1 channel - 16 bits prior to starting the stream and it'll play in both speakers/headphones. Unfortunately, that means the rest of your system is set to monaural sound until you change that back again. You may also want to make sure that your sound is set to 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz after exiting Real Player for maximum fidelity in other applications."

Meanwhile, let's hope the folks at Real move this bug to the top of their priority list.
