When *censored*tail was first released, it was a killer app in its market segment. I paid for it and used it regularly, and happily. Nice, clean interface, easy to use, etc.—and worth the price. Since then, it's been downhill with a tangle of badly-timed, ill-defined, and questionably upgradable releases.
So now I (again) try to run the gauntlet of upgrading to the Leopard version… It forces me to reenter my original registration, so I duly dig it out from my email archive only to discover that it's not accepted. I'm sure as h*ll not going to bother with trying to contact the developer or to pay up again. What a hassle. I'm switching to Onyx, which is free, better supported, and better. Good riddance, *censored*tail!

Well, after using Onyx you might really have it. Two weeks ago I used Onyx to delete my font cache and it deleted ALL of my personal data as well. I've been using *censored*tail since it first came out and never had one moment where I felt insecure using it...Free is nice for some things, but could be hazardous to your data for truly critical disk utilities.
You know, I never really like censors, but *censored*tail seems like a great name change for something that didn't make much sense in the first place.

Your serial number isn't accepted because the company doesn't have a valid e-mail address for you. I had the same problem when I updated from the 10.3 version to this version. I e-mailed them and had a respone in a few hours explaining that an e-mail with updated serial numbers was sent out and that if I didn't get one then they didn't have an valid e-mail for me... I verified my registration information and it was true... I updated it, and got a new Serial Number in a few more hours... and this version works great.Reply to This
