The latest version of XMenu is using the lame blue Applications folder icon from 10.5. I miss the plain old black & white icons from the last version. (this is the only colored icon that I have in my menu bar, so it looks out of place).

There is an option in the prefs that lets you just have 'text only' that is in black letters.

If you right-click on the XMenu application and choose "Show Package Contents" then navigate to the "Resources" folder, you can replace any of the icons with whatever you want.

For example, I use the user-defined folder, so I downloaded the "Blend" series of icons from interfacelift.com. I took the "Sidebar Applications.icns" file that comes in that icon set, renamed it "Userdefined.icns", and used it to replace the file of the same name in the "Resources" folder.
