That would be sad. And it would explain their preoccupation with *this* program an "Fission."
I'm going to at least *try* MP3 Trimmer. But, Audacity is FREE. Fission is NOT.

You need to understand that MP3 Trimmer (and Fission) allows you to split MP3's without re-encoding them. This preserves the original encoding, quality, and file size perfectly.Audacity does not have this functionality. When splitting audio with Audacity, you will either have to leave it in a lossless format (AIFF, ALAC, FLAC, etc.) to retain the same quality but with much larger file sizes, or you will have to re-encode the audio back to MP3 again to get the small file size of the original but at the cost of quality due to the lossy re-encode.
