I sent an email to the developer about the kernel panic and received one back suggesting booting into Safe Boot mode before installing. I did so and it worked flawlessly.
Indispensable piece of software. And the developer is extremely responsive. I give five stars to both.

Installer Works Perfectly in Safe Boot Mode - shavital2
I also sent an e-mail to the developer, and received the following answer (copy/paste): <We appologize for the inconvenience. In rare cases this kernel panic happens during unloading the kernel module of the previous version. This bug is already fixed within 2.0.2 and will not happen againduring the next update.".
So...take your pick. Either the bug (so there's a bug?) has been fixed etc..., and/or boot in safe mood.
The wonderful world of wonderful applications.
Apart from that, LittleSnitch does its work, sometimes annoyingly, but better safe than sorry.
A 5 to the application, for its efficiency, and a 5 to the developers for their creativity.

Good info re the Safe Boot, but would have "gooder" still had the developer advised/alerted us to that condition when the LS updater was first released.Reply to This
