joomla is a great cms (content management system). i used it to build a couple of web sites that i needed to be updateable by non-web-savvy people, and it's great. there are a boatload of extensions for it that can make it do all kinds of things, from e-commerce to user management to group management to file hosting and so on. highly recommended!! (not sure why it's listed in versiontracker, as it's just php and web-based so you access it through any browser)

I am also wondering why Joomla! is listed on Mac OS VersionTracker. It is a web-based Content Management System. Even worse, it didn't actually always work with Safari, but Camino worked pretty well.I love it, and have been using Joomla! for nearly three years now. There is a huge learning curve, with the lingo, mainly, since Joomla! is an open-source fork of Mambo after it went commercial.
That said, Joomla! is possibly the most extensible and customizable CMS solution anywhere. Learn the lingo, and it's a snap!
go figure!

I was wondering why this was listed in here, but then I saw that Joomla just released a security fix. Hopefully more people we see this in here and spread the word to minimize their risk. Go Joomla!Reply to This
