Since FruitMenu has two separate features - Apple menu and contextual menu hacks - it may be best to discuss them separately. The Apple menu hack works wonders. It's incredibly easy to add anything to the menu, and the ability to add shortcuts is amazing. I found other apps that force hibernate and lock desktop modes (two features that it seems Apple should add anyway), and having them in the Apple menu is great. On the other hand, the contextual menus are virtually worthless, mainly because they block out any other third-party contextual menu additions. Even Automator actions are gone from contextual menus, and I rely on those far too much to throw that functionality away.

Maybe FruitMenu should be divided up into two separate apps - Apple menu hack and contextual menu hacks - and sold for $5 each. I'd definitely buy the Apple menu hack (assuming the developer releases a Leopard-friendly version as I plan to upgrade soon), but I don't feel it's worth $10 to add two items to my Apple menu. It's not that big of a deal to plant shortcuts to my desktop to the other two apps.

Has its perks, but not worth the money - badvibes

I've had no problems with the Fruit Menu Contextual Menu.
I can see the main Apple CM stuff above the Fruit Menu items and other stuff below. (Automator, Enable Folder Actions, Stuffit, Toast It)

If you only need to put two items in Fruit Menu, then it's probably not for you, but it's the best 10 I've ever spent.
