bought my x4 upgrade in november.

january: intego feels i should shell out another forty-five bucks for the upgrade to x5.

this is not the way to build a client base.

I could not agree more. I have Virus Barrier and Net Barrier both now have updates that COST. I just bought them in the fall. [2007] Is this what we have to look forward to as the market declines? Maybe that is why Linux is so popular.

Same here I bought X4 in October 2007. Now I find I have to shell out again for X5. It's not on Intego. Very disgruntalled and NOT happy.
