the developer is not lazy - chongolcn2

I think the developer is correct in refusing to honor what you call "blank passwords". I assume you mean empty passwords (i.e., a password of 0 length) and not a password that contains only whitespace.

I believe that empty passwords are against best practices of system security. I would file a bug against an application that permitted empty passwords. Therefore I request that LCC continue to refuse to accept empty passwords as valid.

Uh, lazy? - luckylou7

You can't even be bothered to create or enter a password, something that's only, oh, just a little important, and you're calling the developer of this app, who updates it frequently, lazy? That's hilarious.

In any case, it's no reason to rate a piece of software that is totally functional and immensely helpful as just 1 star overall. That's simply ridiculous. Be more realistic and less extreme, and your review might actually help someone instead of being an excuse to just complain like a whiny baby.

Untrue - MAC_1984

The Developer is not lazy, simply enter a basic password if you want to get around matters as I did as I had the same issue. This is simply not a one star app as the Developer provides a heavy hitter app. When it comes to tracking down those issues that do not seem to go away—use Leopard Cache Cleaner.

the developer is lazy - jjjazzz--2008

The developer, lazy? Password problem? The only problem here is that you seem to be too lazy to enter your password. LCC is a good product that does its job. It asks for a password for a reason, and that reason is to protect you and your system. You can change your password, by the way, in sys prefs. Make it really short! - Peace!

gee thanks bashar... this is the best mac utility, but... - jjjazzz--2008

No one seems to know what an empty password is. And I was right. You say, and I quote:
"this is the best mac utility, but the devoloper is refusing to fix the log in password problem, its the only software on the mac ever to refuse blank passwords...."
So it's the best. Wow! Then you give it one star, and mysteriously call it "the only software on the mac ever to refuse blank passwords...."
I am not aware of ANY Mac software that accesses command-line scripts without inputing an admin password.
Your public display of ignorance has cost LCC it's deservedly high ranking. It's so lame. My advice to Alaska: release a new version soon so we can all have a 5-star app again, untainted by bashar's idiocy. And you can start seeing some sales again. Geez Louise.

Good call bashar.. I agree with you - xjja

The app should honor what OS allows. All the other apps do accept blank passoword if the user elects to not have a password.

Give the control back to the user.
