I gave up on this earlier version for two reasons. The first was the ridiculous interval between definition updates. New bad ware is released every day. For an application with a premium price to be updated so casually is unacceptable. The second was the incompatibility with SuperDuper. In my opinion SD was the premier back up solution on Tiger. When I would run SD with VirusBarrier installed some sort of leak would cause a disk space loss which failed the back up. This was not just me- this was a know problem. Intego may have sorted this out. But in watching VT updates it appears they still take a dim view of daily updates. What excuse could there be when ClamXav is updated every day? I have a bunch of computers in a mixed environment. I can't afford to have one of my Mac users pass anything along. I purchased a license for a network-centric cross platform product that is updated hourly. That was two years ago and I haven't had a problem since. I realize this isn't cost effective for a home user. But until our community demands and supports a quality product what we have now is probably what we will have tomorrow. That said, ClamXav used with caution is the best setup currently available.
