I am thrilled to received this update. All that was included works well. Downloaded easily and there were absolutely no problems with the installation/update. I am greatly disappointed by two missing features however.
The first feature is mentioned below, the inability to "select all" in trashed mail. The current process requiring the individual deletion of each item demands a very time consuming process to delete all your spam and deleted mail items. It does not require a coding genius to provide this for iPhone loyalists. Please get this to us soon Apple!
The second feature I am missing is the much reported "cut and paste" feature. For those of us that are transported Treo or Blackberry users it is very difficulty to not have the ability to transfer information by copying and pasting. Since we cannot yet download documents (maybe Documents to Go will have to develop an iPhone version) the least you can do is provide the ability to copy info or narrative from our mail and paste it to the "Notes" program.
I know these items may seem trivial to many, but for those of us that are trying to use the iPhone as a "Smart Phone" these items would be warmly welcomed.

1.1.3 Update Still Missing Important Features - eccparis
Sorry, cbell3, I must beg to differ as the "root problem" here is NOT the amount of spam anyone gets but that the important "delete all" is still not available.I for one hardly get any spam (knock on wood), but with all the 'clean' mails that I get in different accounts, the ability to delete all selected mails would still be a most welcome time-saver. That and the cut and paste...

I hate sounding like an Apple apologist but your root problem is the amount of spam you are getting, not functionality of the iPhone. I use a paid web based email that I can access on my iPhone via IMAP and I have gotten one piece of spam in a week and it was from XM radio (I'm a subscriber). That single piece of spam was automatically filtered into the spam folder. If you have a free email account....well... you get what you pay for and should expect to do more of the work of keeping a clean inbox yourself.I totally agree on the copy/paste. People have to be patient though. When it comes to features, Apple takes the road of quality before speed/quantity. It takes more time and effort to do things the right way versus just throwing it in willy-nilly so they can add it as a bullet point in promotional material like pretty much all the other companies do. It's still just version 1.
