Crashes always with Canon LiDE 25 scanner, can't update

Software update doesn't work, so there is no way to update version 11.5.0, which we bought several copies of. Since all of the scanners in our lab are these Canon models, we can't use this software. MacInTouch.com wouldn't print negative feedback about this product so it's difficult to warn people.

Crashes always with Canon LiDE 25 scanner, can't update - jreffner

You have to email tech support asking for a link (include your serial number, date of purchase and first born child). Then they will (after several emails back and fourth) eventually send you an ftp link and not tell you the required username and password. You'll email them back for this info and they will tell you that it's anonymous for both. Then you'll finally be able to d/l the update.

It's a ridiculous waste of time, but it will eventually work.
