I was looking for a DB for private use and looked into Bento (new from the Filemaker people). This was not enough. On the other side Filemaker is too big and expensive. Now I found this IList Data, which is at least 90% of what I was looking for --- for a really fair price. Handling seems to be not always straight forward and consitent, but my first little apps worked fine. Some ideas for improvements I will post directly to the developer. Nice would be some more im/ex-interfaces especially for mac-typical apps (Mail, iCal, AdrBook, Numbers, ...). Support for applescript could be helpful.
