Bento has a pretty face, but has no reporting capabilities. At the moment, it is nothing more than a dressed up spreadsheet. The database element in the ageing AppleWorks is still far superior to this effort.
You can enter data quite easily, as long as you do not want to import data in a standard database format, such as tab delimited text. Until FileMaker add some genuine data analysis functions to this product, it is useless as a database. That they only support the spreadsheet based CSV format, tells you all you need to now about this "database" application.

Bento is not meant to be a Filemaker replacement, it is meant to be a small database application for personal use--which is precisely what it is. If you need more functionality, use Filemaker. If you need to run Crystal reports on 2000GB of databases strewn across a clustered array, use Oracle. The right tool for the right job.
