Well, from bad to worse... since FMenu was broken by Leopard and is hurtling like a glacier towards Leopard compatibility, I decided to give this little masterpiece a go. Needless to say, I want my hour back, don't even be thinking about springing your twenty five bucks for it. The set-up process involves what appears to be a separate application, which asks for the location of Mac Face, the now non-existent predecessor of this app, and requires a convoluted registration process that adds an app to Facebook itself. Once that's done, the helper app closes down but Amigo itself doesn't appear in the menu bar. Re-launching from the applications folder takes you back to the setup app. So no testing notes available on this app, I didn't even get as far as the app showing any signs of functionality. Pity, the website trumpets what appears to be a useful set of features and clean interface and, in the absence of a freeware alternative, might have been worth stumping some cash for. But save it for now. One star for taking a promising idea, implementing it poorly and charging too much. Wait for FMenu to be fixed.

BETA version of previously working program?! - oxjox_dotmac
This application is horrible! I've had NO problems with version 1 before they started asking me for money. Version 1.2 is plagued with issues and and after a couple weeks of using it I need to uninstall the program. Upon OS bootup I am asked to locate the application MacFace even though I've never had that installed on this computer. Every once in a while I get a pop up from the preference window asking for my authorization to use this app with my facebook account. When I enter the information it immediately asks me again to authorize my account! WTF?! These are the kinds of quirks I expect from Windows, not Mac Devs.Needless to say, even for a very small, yet mind blowingly expensive program, I don't think I have ever been so annoyed by a single application in 15 years of computer use. But then, I'm someone who is easily irritated by the small details and gets over the bigger issues.

Actually, the dev probably deserves an apology from me for that call because it doesn't say here that it's Leopard compatible. So take it from me that it's not, it might work on Tiger.Reply to This
