Used Product For: Less than a month

It is true, no doubt, that Onyx is a graphical front end for various command line routines. But remembering command lines is not why I crossed over to Apple 8 years ago. I want things to be simpler. When I want to use my computers I want them to be ready for work. I have used Onyx for several years now without any negative experiences. I want my machines to be well maintained and this application has simplified many chores into a few mouse clicks. If I have missed the memo from Apple stating that OS X needs no maintenance then I apologize for my ignorance. But, by being able to call up Photoshop or some other application on my systems without wondering if it will launch allows me to focus on the much more enjoyable tasks to which I intend to perform. Have I tried other applications of this type? Absolutely, and a few had some small but detectable negative effects. Am I certain it was those applications? Lets say that I am certain that those behaviors ceased when I returned to Onyx. So I offer my thanks to Joel Barriere of Titanium Software. This gentleman labors to keep this application current and free. And that is one of the many things that make my commitment to our platform more enjoyable. Now try explaining this to our long suffering brothers and sisters still on Windows.
