Will ReceiptWallet work with a Neat Receipts scanner?

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

I was going to purchase a Neat Receipts scanner and resort to using Windows under Parallels. After reading the Amazon reviews of the Neat Receipt I have nixed that idea because it sounds like Neat Receipts is another piece of typical Windows garbage software.

1.) Will ReceiptWallet work with a Neat Receipts scanner?

2.) How about with a Visioneer Portable Scanner?

These are the only portable scanners that I can find locally.

3.) With ReceiptWallet can I feed in receipt after receipt without having to enter any data, and then fill in the data after I have scanned all of my documents? This would be my preferred method of input. I dread the idea of stopping after every scan to enter data. If I have to do this I may as well just use a flatbed scanner and FileMaker Pro.

Will ReceiptWallet work with a Neat Receipts scanner? - receiptwallet

IHatePC:

ReceiptWallet requires a TWAIN compliant scanner with Mac drivers. Neither the NeatReceipts scanner or the Visioneer scanner has Mac drivers as far as I know. Check our website for a link to the Pentax DSMobile 600 which is similar to both of those scanners.

As for scanning in a batch; if you use a Fujitsu ScanSnap, then you scan scan in batch and then enter all the data afterwards. If you are using a TWAIN scanner, like the Pentax scanner, then ReceiptWallet will stop after each scan so you can enter information. We'll consider a batch mode for a future version.
