I've been trying all the major OS X recovery apps lately, in order to recover some files I accidently deleted. I was surprised to see this program unique among all others (Boomerang, VirtualLab, FileSalvage, Data Rescue II, etc.) in that it won't even fully launch until you enable the ROOT user on your Mac! Now that is frightening and makes no sense why it should require that, especially since other data recovery tools for OS X do not. Or is this just a bug?
I'm running 10.4.11 on a dual CPU Intel iMac.
