I can understand offering a discount to help introduce a new version, but why limit it to new licenses only? What about the loyal users who already have a license? Where's the love?
I'd recommend the app, but under these circumstances, I won't recommend the developers.

Discounted introductory price for new licenses only! - Zeigh
I couldn't agree more about the one-sided discount pricing...The upgrade features do not justify a $20 fee for me, not to mention that there is just an $8 price difference for new customers with their discount. This oozes of business greed and failure of appreciation to the long-standing customer. This is exactly how software companies price themselves out of business.
