I have received personal assistance from the developer. This application has served me well, and I have successfully calibrated multiple maps of varying scales using the product. Highly recommended

Support has declined significantly over the years - rdptwh--2008
I have used MacGps Pro for years, I first ran it on my then shiny new Mac SE! The support USED TO BE terrific. However, over the last few years responsiveness to complaints & suggestions for improvements have been consistently ignored.* With multiple monitors, the program decides which monitor to use when displaying a map & reverts to a minimum sized map on the main monitor when the zoom button is pressed. I've been told that this obnoxious behavior is a feature.
* The various tools & other features should be accessible through keyboard shortcuts, but numerous requests to add this simple fix have been ignored (Try MenuMaster to patch this "feature")..
* He has finally added minimal support for lower case waypoint names (you can search for them, but not enter them).
* It would be simple to allow the program to export worldfiles along with the pict maps to make them a bit more portable, but ...
* There is a needless limit on the number of trackpoints that can be loaded. Using the standard template library rather than a fixed array size would be a simple improvement, but ...
* It would be nice if there was an option to export geotiff files to make them more portable, but ...
* Since an increasing number GIS sources publish maps in MrSid format & Lizardtech has published the API, it would be nice if this program could import MrSid, but ...
The list goes on.
Support used to be great. It isn't great anymore. If there was a competetive product, I'd switch in a heartbeat.
