This version is far from new. It is 7 months old. It needs the tricks described below to download, does not add any usable features over 1.5 and most important it is unable to download and install the maps I bought.
I recommend against using a TomTom device unless you run Win XP or above. I had no success to access purchased maps on Win ME and Win2k either.
