Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

I made the mistake of dragging the slider all the way to black , just to test it out. Sure enough I lost the slider into the darkness, and was unable to get the screen to be visible again, and had to actually do a hard re-boot, which subsequently corrupted directories on my external drives. USE WITH CAUTION — this thing is dangerous.

It happened to me as well.
BUT: if you had read about the shortkeys you wouldn't have gone through the trouble: alt-escape restores the brightness, shuts down Shades.

Stoopid,
How can you LOOSE the slide. The programmer set the default MINIMAL darkness ABOVE 0%. You cannot make it black without REALLY trying. RTFM
