The one I'm using is 2.2.0.39 released 18 Oct 2007. From the product version pulldown menu, this one, with a lower number says it is released today. Also, my preference pane says my version is up to date, even though there is a 2.2.0.49 that shows a release date of 22 Oct 2007. Go figure. Until I know where I am, I'll stay put.

As I understood it, the 2.2 series is for Leopard. And the first few 2.13 versions were betas, so the update would recognize the 2.11 series as the latest.Friday, December 14 2007 @ 08:55 PM PST

The 2.1 series is a release version. 2.1.3 is the latest.The 2.2 series is a beta, which is why they've all been 2.2.0.something, rather than 2.2.1, 2.2.2, etc. Once they've finished it, it will be released as version 2.2.
2.1.3(.10) is the latest full release. 2.2.0.49 is the latest beta, regardless of whether you're seeing any beta labels anywhere.
