Despite some other reviewer's "opinions", I really liked the game and purchased shortly after playing the demo. I then proceeded to spend the next 5 hours playing and trying different strategies.
Couple of things to mention. Selecting various towers from the palette isn't quick or always reliable, particularly with more action on the screen. It tends to not respond to clicks. You have to double-click and wait a couple of seconds for the selection to "lock in" before moving the mouse out onto the play field, or it selects things you don't want.
Another annoying thing is that if you click to place a tower as an Orc is walking on that spot, it clears the selection forcing you to go re-select a tower. A real problem when time is crucial. Seems like it should just not place a tower until the grid square is clear.
As for price, I thought $24.95 was slightly high, but not outrageous. Considering the number of hours I spent on this game, it was worth it. I can't stand to play most games for more than an hour or two. The game was stable, never crashed and runs reasonably fast on a DP 1.42Ghz G4.
