poor copy of Transmit

Feedback Type:  Review

Contributed by: Timothy Bates Monday, December 10 2007 @ 03:36 PM PST

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

I bought this as part of a package deal on Macupdate.

It strikes me as a poor copy of transmit, without that app's sophistication and polish, and without that company's founder's flair.

NOT at all a poor copy of Transmit - frodo5641

can't agree, I'm using Transmit and as a pure FTP client and it is pretty good, however ForkLift goes much further and I mainly use it to copy or compare files and view two HD's at the same time.

If the FTP is also polished this could be very useful to.

poor copy of Transmit - craigminah

Is it a "poor copy of Transmit" because of the two-pane style which might make it a poor copy of SID or DirectoryOpus (Amiga). I think Transmit is much more advanced/refined, but I really like the look and direction Forklift is going. I found Forklist to be much slower than Transmit, however.
