Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: YES

This is still my favourite FTP client, but compared with other people's work, such as YummyFTP, ForkLift and some other and the features (partly based on new Leopard technology) these apps are offering, Transmit seems to be loosing ground and lacking innovation...!? I sure hope there's a version 4.0 in the works, that will blow us all away pretty soon...!?

Has some catching up to do... - picodom

I have no doubt that Transmit 4 will satisfy and surpass your expectations. I have no affiliation with Panic, but I am basing this off the fact that they openly say that the FTP code used in Coda, which is derived from the Transmit core, is actually a better and faster that the FTP core currently used in Transmit 3. The fact that they have not yet put this code into Transmit 3 implies that they are planning on using it for Transmit 4, and also making it a bigger overhaul, since they definitely could have just thrown the newer core into the current Transmit. And Panic just kicks ass, probably one of the best shareware development companies for OS X out there.

Well, they sure make great software, no doubt...! And Transmit was the leader of the pack for quite time, but it's losing ground now...so I sure hope that version 4 is due in the really near future, otherwise the new competition might leave Transmit behind...!?

It still says "...the ultimate Mac FTP client, with more innovative features than anywhere else..." but unfortunately that's not all true anymore...
