This tool is not easy to use. You need a long time to figure out how it works.
It offers many features but it contains unfortunately many bugs e.g. it freeze sometimes without any reason.
I read the software is now phoning home. Spyware?!
Another point is that it should be free but we have pay 20$ ONLY for the batch mode.
I can not recommend this software.

you mean checking for updates? which can be disabled by unchecking "Automatically check for updates" in the Help menu.
or do you mean registering/checking registration over the internet, like many applications do (such as those from Adobe)?
Spyware? or protecting their business?
