In your example, Little Snitch would do just fine. If spyware did copy your personal information and then try to transmit it out, Little Snitch would stop that.Friday, November 30 2007 @ 11:58 AM PST

If a malicious program attempts to delete personal documents FileDefense can stop it, LittleSnitch cannot. Malicious programs can also transfer personal information out using connections you have already allowed, like Mail for example or system processes.Friday, December 07 2007 @ 10:47 AM PST

LittleSnitch prevents applications from making network and internet connections. FileDefense prevents applications from accessing other files on your machine. If you have spyware on your machine that is to copy your personal information, say your Keychain data, FileDefense will stop this, LittleSnitch will now.Reply to This
