Why Leopard only?

I've been happily using Smultron for two years. Now I'm still with Tiger, why has not been possible to make the new Smultron tiger-compatible?

I'd say it would be possible, but making it for Leopard makes life easier for developers.

The features for this version list:
Now uses Quick Look instead of standard icon in documents list

Quick Look is a Leopard-only feature.
