I have several Mac Computers, and have tried various Logitech input devices, most recently the MX Revolution. It works fine on a PeeCee -- but when I install the LCC software -- including this new 2.4.0 on a brand new Mac with Leopard install -- it comes back with the dreaded "No Logitech Device Found" Error. The software is useless.
I have spent way too much time troubleshooting this problem -- in message boards, carefully examining all possible solutions. I even spent over an hour on the phone with Logitech (an call center based in India no less) -- and came up with nothing.
This issue is that without this program working correctly -- the mouse is basically limited to two button operation. I shame when you spend $100 -- and the box clearly has a Mac Compatible logo on it. The MX Revolution should allow you to customize 6 additional buttons.
I know I could spend another $25 and use SteerMouse -- but quite frankly, that pisses me off. I don't like how that program works -- and I should not have to.
So -- I'll return the mouse, and NEVER buy anything from LogiCrap again.
I would like Apple to revoke their use of the Mac Logo. It is quite obvious that their Mac development team consists of two people, the Night Janitor and a Cafeteria helper.
They need to fix this issue with "No Logitech Device Found" before they box and ship another input device.

Logitech is Simply NOT Mac Compatible - ozgrunge
I have had my MX Revolution mouse for 3 months and regard it as an excellent mouse. It can be used at it's intended potential without the dreaded LCC software. The latest version 2.4.0 does not work. The solution: Download 'Steermouse', you'll also need to read the article 'Getting Logitech's MX Revolution to Play Nice with OS X' at http://leihu.com/journal/archive/id_413.html which will show you how to correctly map the buttons in Steermouse. It works in Tiger and in Leopard and on either a PPC or Intel Mac. You'll have your MX Revolution up and running in no time ;-)

Logitech is Simply NOT Mac Compatible - pomegranate
I had the same problem with the previous version (I have a PPC iMac with Leopard). I played about removing certain third party additions such as Default Folder, Little Snitch etc and managed to get it back working again but for the life of me I can't remember what exactly fixed it.Reply to This
