Here's Hao Li's attitude towards his paying customers:

http://haoli.dnsalias.com/Saft/Download/

[INFO] After upgrading to Leopard account, Tiger download won't work anymore (since that is the account got upgraded). Please do NOT ask me to send you this version if you do not have a Tiger account. An email regarding this problem won't be answered.

Every time the OS or Safari gets upgraded, Saft stops working, requiring the download of a new version once it is updated and released.

What's so ridiculous about this "policy" Hao Li imposed on his customers is that Saft 9.0.1 for Tiger 10.4.11 was released *after* the Leopard version was released, so by preventing his Leopard upgrade customers from downloading Saft 9.0.1 for the latest version of Tiger, he puts all of his upgrade customers in the position that they can't use a version of the software that they were entitled to use before upgrading. Are you confused? Join the club. What purpose does this stupid policy serve? Hao Li is an arrogant fool.

Keep this in mind before you buy.

From the developer's mouth... - dbg

It's not quite that bad. True, Hao's system is awkward and confusing and inconvenient, but at least last time I upgraded and discovered I did need to go back and get the previous version, I just emailed him and he made it available to me. He says not to ask him to download the Tiger version if you've upgraded to Leopard UNLESS you are running Tiger. And that's what your situation is, so email him and he'll send you what you need. At least he did for me last time this situation arose.

Well that is no longer the case. All 5 of my last emails were ignored, and his blog stated that any emails requesting Tiger versions for those who upgraded would not receive a response. A big fat in your face to paying customers.

Anyway, rumor has it that previous versions can be bittorrrented painlessly.
