I bought Traktor over a year ago, but it's completely useless to me, as, in spite of what it says, it won't import my iTunes playlists -- it just shows one list called "all tracks", consisting only of my tracks begjnning with letters A-J. I've taken this up with NI, but they just tell me it's "not a known issue", and recommend that I re-install iTunes. I'm not about to do this: firstly it would cause me to lose my 100-odd playlists, and secondly iTunes works fine with other products, such as MegaSeg, which imports its playlists just fine.
Plus there's the lack of its support for secondary output devices such as the iMic, without laborious configuration using Audio Midi set-up, that then disables these devices for use with other software. This behaviour reveals Traktor's source as Windows software, with Mac functionality thrown in as an afterthought.
So while I might appreciate some of its extra features, I'm sticking with Mac-native MegaSeg for now.

Your problems with iTunes import are regrettable, but it's probably rather uncommon to have that many playlists. Did you check if that could be the issue? Also, I'd like to point out that MegaSeg, while it may meet your requirements, is nowhere near the league Traktor is in.Reply to This
